The Donald doesn’t own just one aircraft, he owns a fleet. We all know about his Boeing 757 and he has more than a few helicopters to roam around the city. Trump’s recent helicopter purchase is a top of the line refurbished Sikorsky S-76. If it owned by Donald Trump, it must be covered in gold, that is when aircraft interior-designer Eric Roth comes into play. Roth already know what to expect when doing a Trump project, he did the interior work on Boeing 757 back in 2011.
A second hand Sikorsky S-76, according to aviation experts costs between $5 million and $7 million. Even though Long Island-based designer refused to acknowledge a number, it is believed to have cost in the range of $750,000 to redo the Sikorsky. Roth’s work on the chopper included gut renovating its well-worn interiors and make it look brand spanking new again, so Trump can show it off. The entire helicopter from seat belts to handles are now Trumped with 24 karats gold-plated hardware. Not even its stocked water escaped branding – it is Trump Ice Spring Water all the way.
We would not have known about Donald Trump’s latest fly ride it wasn’t for the TV show “Secret Lives of the Super Rich”, Roth is a participant of its new series that starts on March 24. He allowed cameras inside and around the project. Even though he did not “on camera” identify the owner of the helicopter, the “Trump” name in red letters on the outside and in gold in the inside was an easy giveaway. He is also on record as saying “if it’s got the Trump name on it, it’s got to be the best of the best, and this helicopter is worth of his name.”
