Asprey’s Private Collection this year comprise of just 12 unique colorful crocodile handbags. The ultra-exclusive collection from Asprey feature hardware made from 18 karat rose, silver or yellow gold and gemstones such as tanzanite, sapphire, garnet, cognac, and pink and yellow diamonds. Available only by invitation, the collection is a collaboration between Asprey and renowned handbag designer Katie Hillier. Hillier is the founder of the Hillier luxury jewelry line in addition to being the creative director of Marc by Marc Jacobs.
Each handbag is a one-off creation and their designs are based on Asprey designs, the 167, the Morgan Day bag and the ultra-classic 1781. Each bejeweled bag feature a crocodile zip purse, a crocodile-trimmed sterling silver mirror and plaque engraved with its unique number. Additionally they come with a velvet-lined, calf leather case complete with a customized kid suede pillow to maintain the handbag’s shape when not in use.
Available in mini and large sizes, budding fashionable divas must be ready to fork out between £38,500 to £150,000 ($64,000- $248,500) to have ownership of a bag. Asprey Private Room, which was unveiled recently put on display seven of the bags from the collection, other five bags of the collection will be available by September end.
