Gucci Flora Print Scarf Chelsea Flower Show 1

This week if you are heading for the RHS Chelsea Flower Show, make sure to stop by at the beautiful Gucci Flora Garden. Gucci has joined hands with Chelsea Flower Show to bring their own beautiful blooms, fruits and insects to the show. Inspiration for Gucci Garden comes from the 1966 silk scarf with floral patterns created for Monaco’s Princess Grace. Garden designer Sarah Eberle has brought to life the Gucci Garden by using patterns from the scarf.

To celebrate the Gucci Flora motif and the flower show, the fashion house has released a special flora scarf. Scarves can be purchased online or at the store. A special service has been set up at the Gucci Sloane Street store to customize scarves with initials of customers choice, silk artisans are on hand for duration of the Chelsea Flower Show, from May 20 to 24, 2014.

Rodolfo Gucci, one of four sons of founder Guccio Gucci, commissioned artist Vittorio Accornero to create the floral pattern for a hand-printed silk scarf to present to Princess Grace instead of a bouquet when she visited their Milan boutique. Accornero’s design included colorful naturalistic flowers, fruits and even insects, it was dedicated to the four seasons.

The Gucci Flora Scarf priced at £285, comes in seven color variations.
