Nike and LeBron James is celebrating his NBA All-Star debut 10 years ago and the special “Wheat” colored Air Zoom Generation 1 he wore for the game with a new edition of that same “Wheat” colorway. Dubbed Nike LeBron 12 EXT “Wheat”, is impressive in its design as well as with the use of Nike’s latest technology. Though not made for on-court use, it still boasts Nike tools Hyperfuse, Hyperpostie, and Flywire. Just one look and you know the shoe is a trip down the memory lane of LeBron’s rise to the top.
The Nike LeBron 12 EXT “Wheat” has a wheat colored nubuck upper and a metallic gold accented Nike Swoosh. LeBron’s All-star debut date 02.13.2004 is inscribed into the pull tab, while his signature is branded into the pull tab, sockliner and the on the tongue.
For the record LeBron did really well on his All-Star debut back in 2004 as a Cavalier, he scored 33 points in addition to five rebounds, six assists, and three steals. But in the end his team, the 2003 NBA Draft class lost to the sophomore team that had Manu Ginobili and Amare Stoudemire.
There is no confirmed release date or pricing information from Nike for the LeBron 12 EXT “Wheat”. Many however believe it will be sooner than later.
