For the first time since 2007, Cartier has two new bag collections, for him the “Louis Cartier Collection” and for her “Jeanne Toussaint Collection”. The are named after two of labels most iconic designers. Bags are available in colors cream, black and bordeaux.
Jeanne Toussaint, nick-named Panther is well-known as the designer behind the Cartier Panther brooch that Duchess of Windsor made famous in 1948. At the time she was a bag designer in addition to being the head of jewelry for the design house. The Jeanne Toussaint Collection features bags in luxurious crocodile skin and leather, created by skilled craftsman.
The Louis Cartier Collection is named after Louis-François Cartier, the grandson of the founder. He was also an influential designer for the brand. His famous creations include Baignoire and Tortue watches introduced in 1912. The collection honoring him includes a document holder, which comes in a choice black leather outer with a bordeaux lining, or caramel leather with an ebony lining. There’s also a caramel leather weekend bag.
Prices announced for the men’s collection range from $1,550 to $46,300 and for the women’s collection from $2,260 to $14,800.
