It is that time of the year again to release new perfumes for spring and summer. We have already seen quite a few of them from perfumeries and fashion houses. Guerlain, the French perfume house has since 1998 or since 2006 according to others, released a numbered limited edition of Muguet on May 1 to commemorate May Day. With this year’s edition Guerlain pays tribute to love and spring.
For the Muguet 2014 edition with the help of ceramist Brigitte de Bazelaire of the Porcelaines de la Fabrique, Guerlain has created an elegant flacon holder. The company has been producing Limoges porcelain products since 1825. The flacon holder features embossed lily stems. To attain its desired size, whiteness, matte finish and authentic look, the holder was put in the kiln for two cycles of more than 1000 ° C high heat. The flacon itself received a fresh design from previous years, Guerlain is using the famous Bee bottle for the Muguet for the first time.
The fragrance unchanged since 2006 is fresh and floral as its name indicates. The top note Muguet (means Lilly of the Valley) is enhanced by the accents of bergamot, jasmine and rose. A perfect combination for a spring fragrance to welcome spring.
Limited to just 1,872 flacons, the Muguet priced at €400 or around $550 per 125 ml will be sold from May 1st in all Guerlain boutiques and exclusive stores.
