The collaboration gives birth to a distinct design with Van’s hallmark checkboard pattern and Karl’s iconic ponytail silhouette. The two iconic brands will debut the 12-piece Vans x Karl Lagerfeld Sneakers line that will include logo hoodies, printed tees, hand-stitched backpack and the couture slip-ons.

The capsule line will showcase Vans take on its footwear classics including the Sk8-Hi lace-less platform and Old Skool lace-less styles outfitted in leather with the quilted letter-shaped detail atop white platform soles, and a solid black leather Classic Slip-On — also with the quilted letter K.  The sneakers won’t just be made of classic canvas but will be crafted of a bouclé fabric. Just because slip-ons have a casual demeanor doesn’t mean they can’t be supremely luxe right?

The two-toned collection will also feature a T-shirt with an image of Lagerfeld wearing a checkerboard tie; a black-and-white raglan sleeve bomber, and a premium leather backpack sporting the quilted letter K motif. The items in this one-of-a-kind comfort couture are priced from $40 to $300 making them a must-have for the upcoming fashion quarter.

The Vans x Karl Lagerfeld Sneakers capsule will debut at the Bread & Butter trade show in Berlin in the first week of September. It will be distributed in Karl Lagerfeld boutiques internationally and select Vans accounts, as well as on both of the brands’ websites. The high fashion sneakers are an ideal portrayal of the love both brands have for their black and white aesthetic – the trademark checkers and Karl’s monochrome style. And if Karl Lagerfeld approves, then beauty doesn’t have to be a pain so swap those high heels for some high fashion sneakers that will keep your feet on the ground but your style quotient sky high.
