Cherry blossom party time is almost here. To celebrate the occasion one of Tokyo’s best confectionery makers – Ginza Cozy Corner has just introduced two special edition bite-sized cake collections named, “Hanami Party” aka “Flower Viewing Party”. Pink-colored and in eye-catching designs, drool worthy mini cakes are presented in sets of nine and 12 pieces. They are now on sale but hurry up because April 2 is the last day you can get these.
A nine-piece box of matcha and sakura flavored “Hanami Party” cakes retails for ¥2,200 ($20) and the 12-piece box retails for ¥2,800 ($25). In addition to bite-sized versions, the pastry shop also offers regular-sized sakura cakes. It seems mini cakes are available only at their Tokyo shop, while the regular versions will be offered at all Ginza Cozy Corner stores around Japan until 6 April. First up is the nine-piece mini cakes set – ¥2,800. The top row: Hanami Strawberry Roll, Hanami Lemon Tart, Cherry Blossom Green Tea Roll and Rare Cheese; The middle-row: Hanami Tea Cake, Peach Roll, Chocolate Mousse and Petit Mont Blanc Tart; Bottom-row: Chocolate Cake, Petit Cream Puff, Double Berry and Tiramisu Cake.

Sakura Roll – ¥1,890. This is a feast for the eyes and the tongue. Sakura flavored sponge wrapped in layers of green tea sponge, milk cheese, and bean paste, and topped with cherry flavor cream and strawberries.
