The extravagant hotel Ritz Carlton, Hong Kong, announced that it will be joining forces with international jeweler Qeelin for the most luxurious afternoon teas starting this September. This grandiose experience was curated by award-winning Creative Director Dennis Chan for Qeelin, a brand whose signature collections are desired by stars and luminaries worldwide for their mesmerizing fusion of poise, imagination, and enchanting oriental beauty.
Café 103 will be presenting a harmony of refined artistry and Oriental glamour that the jewelers stand for through its high tea courses. The hotel’s modern interpretations of traditional Chinese art along with Qeelin’s intricate craftsmanship that brings together the west and the east to only further heighten the guests’ whimsical experience.
The prized Wulu collection has been inspired by Asian culture, traditions, symbolism and playful spirit which is an honor and tribute to the Chinese icon of blessings and positive energy. The reputed hotel is creating limited edition tea sets will be inspired by Qeelin’s Wulu collection of precious gems that will be exhibited from September 1st to October 31st at the Ritz Carlton, Hong Kong with high tea from 3:30 pm to 5:30 pm and is estimated to start from $90 for a party of two.
To compliment the opulent tea-ware, Café 103 will also design a special French menu of signature sweet and savory treats which will be plated on bespoke gourd-shaped tiered set, shaped similar to the brand’s signature jewelry pieces. The chefs are curating a perfect menu so that the guests’ palate will have the same magnificent experience that the set up will bring.
Some of the dishes to be served during the highly anticipated afternoon will include Chocoron which is an innovative twist on the traditional French macaron filled with raspberry confit and dressed in a sinful chocolate coating; Squid ink burger with pork rillettes and pistachio, Flaxseed croissant with black truffle egg salad which is only the beginning of the list. Chestnut matcha choux pastry will also be served which is a ying-yang of eastern and western flavors like sweet chestnut and smooth green tea exploding in your mouth, only to move on to more one of a kind treats like the mango ginger tarte with a chocolate panda Bo Bo – one of Qeelin’s most cherished collections representing a precious symbol of peace and friendship. The guests will then proceed towards some more delectable desserts like the raspberry chocolate mille-feuille, coconut passion and the renowned homemade scones with clotted cream and freshly made jam.
