Veuve Clicquot already tried it hands with a yellow cab to deliver luxury bubbly experience, now it’s the time for a mail truck to join the fun. A yellow truck called the Clicquot Mail Truck with Veuve Clicquot branding will travel around the US collecting hand-written mail. The idea behind the mail collecting yellow truck is to encourage letter writing, a very personal experience that is a dying art due to availability of numerous modern communication methods. The other obvious responsibility of the yellow mail truck is to bring brand awareness – this will be achieved through the planned events at hotels and restaurants. During the events truck will be serving up brand’s Yellow label and Rose champagnes – by the glass and by the bottle.
The letter writing campaign and the truck also pays tribute to Madame Clicquot, she helped her husband create the brand and after his passing worked tirelessly with agents, suppliers and others – all corresponding through mail.
The snail mail campaign of Veuve Clicquot will be doing rounds between July and October. Brand also encourages everyone to use social media to post pictures you take with the truck on Instagram and Twitter by using the hashtag #ClicquotMail. Mail truck arrives with a special photo booth, food and a live DJ. It has already been to New York, the Hamptons, Cape Cod and Nantucket.
