You don’t have to be a billionaire or even a mini-millionaire to ride a 24 karat gold scooter. From the house of Alexander Amosu you can order a scooter in your favorite color of yellow, pink or white gold and the best part of this – it would set you back only between £999 ($1,564) and £1,999 ($3,100). Amosu got the idea to design one in gold after one his favorite Middle Eastern client’s roped him into make a custom solid gold scooter. He designed and made one with 13,888 grams of pure gold which he ended up pricing £250,000 ($391,467).
Thanks to its 36 Volt 4.4 A Samsung Lithium long-lasting battery with 700 watts of power, this particular electric scooter is capable of doing a 15 mile travel range on one charge. Battery charges up fully in just 2 hours. Its lightweight frame weighing just 24 lbs helps the scooter go at a maximum speed of 9.3 mph.
Keep in mind this scooter is a limited edition, so you better hurry up. As for the House of Alexander Amosu, the gold-plated two wheeler joins rest of his unique creations that varies from the most expensive iPhone 2 with a £89,000 ($139,300) price tag to a Blackberry phone in solid gold and diamonds that fetched £120,000 ($187,900). He also holds the record for creating the world’s most expensive suit that was sold for £75,000 ($117,440). Amosu also created his favorite Middle Eastern customer a few more gold items including an iPhone, a Rolls-Royce and covered parts of his house in gold.
