There is no shortage of Android powered luxury smartphones, even though Vertu controls the lion’s share of that market segment. There is however a new Android phone from French luxury smartphone maker Bellperre that has a patent-pending component. The 9 mm thin smartphone “Bellperre Touch” boasts a feature named “Touch Through Leather”, which allows for navigation even though control buttons are covered in finest exotic leather.

There are two types of exotic leather options offered in a palette of 60 colors – buffalo and alligator. All leathers are sourced from the same tanneries that supply world’s luxury houses. Also important to note that the leathers are hand-bound to the Bellperre Touch.
The phone run on Android OS, no specific version given but it at least have to be KitKat. It has an 8 MP primary camera with LED flash and HD video recording, that however is not good enough for the selfie obsessed world. It is also fitted with a 1.9 MP secondary camera. The phone offers Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, 4G and LTE connectivity, MicroUSB, GPS, MP3 and MP4, and active noise cancellation. Other specifications include a dual core processor and a battery with 330 hrs standby and 14 hrs of talk time.
