Every corporation from tech to fashion to Weight Watchers are getting into fitness band market (craze?!) So, why not a communication company team up with a fashion brand to bring a re-branded band to the market. Latest unit comes from Japan, where telecom operator DoCoMo and French clothing company Lacoste got together and launched the Lacoste Move Band 3.
The all-inclusive fitness tracker offers a host of functions with the advanced measurement technology from Omron Healthcare. It can track in detail your daily activities such as the number of steps you take, the calories burned, the distance travelled, how long you’ve been running and how well you’ve slept. It comes with its own smartphone app linked via Bluetooth. In addition to displaying summarized data on the tracker, you can check them in detail on the phone.
Their targeted market is men aged between 40 and 60 years. Since its introduction in 2014, the Move Band 3 had sold about 6 million units. It is available in colors champagne gold, silver and black. Priced ¥15,800 (about $160), available only in Japan.
