Nordisk Foto Import is celebrating its 25th anniversary, to celebrate the occasion they’ve roped in Leica to do something special. That special something is named, Leica M Monochrom Silver Anniversary Edition and now available with a $21,000 price tag. The biggest difference visually between this and regular version is the color, it has a silver body that comes wrapped in a special Aztec beige leather while the regular one is black. Limited to just 25 units, camera will be sold exclusively in Denmark and Sweden.
For all but few specifications everything is similar to the black version. The camera has a special lens made just for this edition in silver to match the silver body, the Leica Summilux M-1.4/35 ASPH Silver Lens. Its hot shoe instead of name, Monochrome, displays the stamped unique serial number from 01/25 to 25/25.
Accompanying the camera set is a matching shoulder strap in Aztec beige leather and all the standard accessories from the black version that include battery, charger and cables. The latest version of Adobe Photoshop Lightroom is available for download after registering the Leica M Monochrom Silver Anniversary Edition on Leica Camera website.
