No other car part qualifies to be a high-end sound system than a tailpipe, and the value goes up few extra notches if it is a Porsche tailpipe. From Porsche Design we have a new speaker – the Bluetooth 911 with a design based on the original tailpipe cover of Porsche 911 GT3 exhaust system. With its €500 (about $570) price tag, this is the next best thing die-hard Porsche fans who cannot afford the real thing can get their hands on.
Porsche Design Bluetooth 911 Speaker is made from high-end materials including an aluminum casing for durability and sound. Equipped with a power and sound matching the engine sound on the track, it comes with a dual-speaker setup for high-quality true wireless stereo sound. The 911 connect with smartphones, tablets or PCs via apt-X technology and full Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity. It has a 60-watt power output and a remarkable battery life of around 24 hours.
Other impressive features include separate stereo modes in left and right channels, thanks to its ability to sync two 911 speakers. For example – in party mode, a pair of synchronized 911 will produce same stereo sound and fill the room, while in the stereo mode they separate the left and right channels.
The Bluetooth 911 Speaker will be in stores in October 2017 in selected Porsche Design stores and Porsche Centres, as well as online.
