Audi has unveiled the 2014 Audi A8 in preparation for its debut at Frankfurt Motor Show in few weeks. For the disappointment of many, 2014 Audi A8 don’t look much different than current 2013 model. Areas that did see design changes include engine hood, grille and the front bumper. Additionally, rear of the A8 gets redesigned Led taillights and a redesigned bumper. Good news is, 2014 A8 is getting the much talk about and leaked about “Matrix LED” headlights. 25 Matrix LED will come as optional, while 18 Matrix LED is the standard Matrix headlight. According to Audi, diodes can be switched on and off or dimmed individually depending on the situation.
Audi 2014 A8 will be powered by an engine lineup ranging from 310-hp supercharged 3.0 TFSL, 435-hp V8 twin-turbo and all the way up to 6.3L 12-cylinder 500-hp. Diesel engine options available include 3.0L and 4.2L. Top of the range supercharged 4.0 TFSL now accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 4.5 seconds.
A8 L gains an additional 13 cm in length and wheelbase, while dimensions for the standard wheelbase remains unchanged. Wheelbase sizes available up to 21 inches. Carbon ceramic brakes option available for V8 and W12 models. Other new features include a new trunk layout and interior noise cancellation measures.
Audi added five new colors to expand available exterior colors to twelve. Price in Germany starts at Euro74,500 (approx. $99,500.)
