Last month Aston Martin and Quintessence Yachts gave us a sneak peak on their collaboration – AM37 Powerboat. Over the weekend in the Armani Hotel in Dubai, they revealed more information about its features, especially the interiors that they didn’t announce the first time around. To refresh your memory, the AM37 will be available in two versions – the “gran turismo” AM37 leisure powerboat, with twin 520 hp petrol engine with a 50 knots top speed and the more sporty version AM37S with twin 600 hp petrol engine with a 60 knots top speed.
New details of the powerboat include an exclusive sliding deck and a collection of latest onboard computer technologies. Designed to protect the boat’s cockpit from elements and unwelcome guests, the sliding deck cover the entire length of it. Made from carbon fiber panels, the state-of-the-art electronically operated deck once open sliced back to allow access to the cockpit. Also accessible via the deck is engine room, storage compartments and bimini top. When the sliding deck is safely tucked-in, there is plenty room to dive into water as well as to use the swimming ladder.
Other onboard hi-tech technologies include access and control of air conditioning, fridge and espresso machine remotely, means you can do these things while at your home or on a vehicle while few miles away. There is also an integrated navigation system, control monitor and interactive voice control. An entertainment system with multimedia functions is also part of the system. A15-inch HD touchscreen on dashboard acts as the controller for navigation system and multimedia.
The Aston Martin and Quintessence plans to unveil the AM37 Powerboat in September. They promise to release more information about the boat between now and September prior to unveiling.
