A third generation model of its iconic naked bike has been announced by the motorcycle maker Ducati. Named, Monster 821, this is the mid-size version of the Monster 1200 Ducati unveiled at the Milan International Motorcycle show in November. Construction of the Monster 821 with its stylish chassis and muscular design follows the Monster 1200.
The Bologna-built Monster 821 comes equipped with Ducati’s latest technologies that include the 821 Testastretta 11° engine to power it. It provides 112 of horsepower and 65.9 ft-lb of torque along with an impressively lightweight 179.5kg – 395.7lb (dry weight) overall package. Other specifications include high-spec brakes, excellent suspension, 8-level traction control, 3-level ABS and 3-level Ride-by-Wire, entire system is connected into Ducati’s easy to use press-button Riding Modes. It also has a comfortable adjustable seat.
Monster 821 is not only built to deliver a high-adrenaline experience, it is also made to provide a comfortable ride. There are two versions of the bike available in three colors. Monster 821 is in Ducati Red and Star White Silk with red frame and matte red wheels. The Monster 821 Dark comes equipped with glossy black and with the Dark Stealth livery.
The new Ducati Monster 821 will arrive in dealerships in July 2014.
