Check Out This $30,000 Quadrofoil Q2S Flying Electric Watercraft

Quadrofoil Q2S

All you wanted for Christmas was a two-seater e-vessel named Quadrofoil Q2S. Christmas is long gone and the world is anxiously waiting for Donald Trump regime to drag the humanity through the gutters. There are no such issues for the world’s lovely well-to-do minority, they are free to make plans to buy this wonderful electric hydrofoiling watercraft from Quadrofoil, a company based in Slovenia (same place where 3rd Mrs. Donald Trump comes from).

Quadrofoil Q2S

Quadrofoil offers several different watercraft models, however, Q2S by far the most advanced in terms of power and speed. It has so much power, it is capable of shifting gears to go from airborne to literally flying within 5m (6ft) when it hits the speeds at 40km/h (21knots). All this is possible thanks to its combined power of 5.5kW state-of-the-art engine and two 5.2kWh battery packs located on either side of the vessel. Re-charging batteries take about 3 to 4 hours from a standard 110v/220v outlet.

Quadrofoil Q2S

At 80km/h, it has a stunning top speed to fly away anywhere. Clean energy, environment, and cost effective is big with Q2S – this is extremely energy efficient and its operational costs are less than €1 per hour.

The Q2S has a lightweight modular hull built from composite materials, which also helps it deliver a perfect technical performance. While its spider-like design helps it keep the top module and the occupants dry, it also makes it more or less unsinkable. The technology that helps this float or hydrofoils is their uniquely designed spider legs-like C-Foils. These help the watercraft stay afloat and cut through the waves at 12km/h (6.5 knots).

Quadrofoil Q2S

No new technology is complete without a color touch screen interface to control navigation and other things. In Q2S’ case, it comes with an easy to use color touchscreen display with functions such as start the vessel, set driving characteristics and display all the necessary trip-related information.

For its $30,000 price tag, Quadrofoil Q2S comes with plenty of bells and whistles including the automobile inspired ergonomic cockpit and Formula 1-inspired steering wheel. The advantage of having basic functions within hands-reach cannot be underestimated, as it helps easy maneuver and control on every turn.
