For those of you always on the look for that unique luxury, Aston Martin and Quintessence Yachts are ready to deliver something extraordinary. British sports car maker, Aston Martin, has teamed up with Dutch boat maker, Quintessence Yachts, to create a series of stunning new powerboats. Those of you with money to spend can drive the Aston Martin to the yacht club, and sail around on an Aston Martin powerboat – perhaps live a little bit like automaker’s unofficial brand ambassador, James Bond. The yacht named AM37 was unveiled at Aston Martin’s global HQ in Gaydon, Warwickshire couple of days ago. The actual yacht is not built yet, they unveiled it via computer-generated renderings that look amazing.
Quintessence Yachts has licenses and agreements with Aston Martin that allows them the use of automakers technologies in design and engines. On the design front, images show its driving console has borrowed elements from the Aston Martin GTs. During the pre-launch event at Aston Martin HQ, they revealed a handful of key features – first of all, it is going to be a 37-foot powerboat under the Quintessence Yachts “7 series”. Its structure will be made from hi-tech material, so expect a lot of carbon fiber. The AM37 is also online to receive sports-car-like handling, performance, and comfort. On the hi-tech front, it will have “interactive voice control and activation, a fully HD-integrated touch screen with navigation and multimedia system, and remote controlled functions.”
The AM37 will be offered in two versions – one with a top speed of 50 knots (57 mph) and a second with 60 knots (70 mph). Couple of power engines from Aston Martin’s stables will surely help these boats achieve top speeds. Understandably, neither company is willing to release all the design related information at this time for all to see. If you are a potential customer armed with an advanced payment, they are willing show you a lot more of the AM37. The powerboat will see its debut later this year.
