The fourth edition of the six-part edition series of “Les Légendes de Bugatti” will be making its debut at the Geneva Motor Show, Bugatti announced. The automaker has unveiled the latest edition dedicated to Rembrandt Bugatti, one of the most notable sculptors of the 20th century and brother of company’s founder Ettore Bugatti. As with other Les Légendes de Bugatti only three units of the 1,200PS Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport Vitesse will be made. The car carries a net price of €2.18 million or around $3 million.
Famous for making animal sculptures, one of Rembrandt’s well-known creations is the dancing elephant sculpture that decorates the radiator of the Bugatti Type 41 Royale, which later became Bugatti’s symbol. Large collections of his work are displayed around the world in prestigious museums and private collections.
Exteriors of the “horizontal split” designed “Rembrandt Bugatti” is mainly made of bronze-colored clear-coated carbon in a nod to Rembrandt’s favored material. Two-toned exterior colors come in an elegant light brown “Noix” in the lower half and dark chocolate brown for the rest. Its wheels are painted in dark “Firefinch” and light “Noix” browns, adding an extra bit of oomph for an already beautiful car. Rembrandt Bugatti’s signature can be seen laser edged onto the petrol and oil cap. Bugatti’s famous horse shoe in platinum decorates front grille, while also in platinum EB logo is etched in vehicle’s rear.
As for the interiors the Rembrandt Bugatti is completely upholstered with leather in light brown “Cognac”. Prominently showcasing on the rear center box located between the seats is the Rembrandt Bugatti’s famous elephant sculpture in bronze. The door trims of vehicle has details of braided leather in softly contrasting colors of “Cognac” and “Coffee”, an elegant design developed exclusively for this Legends car.
Giving the car the power to go from 0-62 mph in 2.6 seconds is its 8 litre W16 engine that attains an unmatched torque of 1100 lb-ft at 3,000-5,000 rpm. It claims a maximum speed of 254 mph with roof down. As you know the Vitesse is the fastest production roadster ever built.
