This Exclusive Lotus Ever Sport 410 Honors Original Espirit And A Bond Movie

For a supercar fan, nothing in this world compares to getting a bespoke example. That is exactly what this Lotus customer asked the automaker to do. A supercar enthusiast commissioned a one-off Ever Sport 410 through Lotus Exclusive program as a tribute to one its famous ancestors, the Lotus Esprit S1. The Lotus Espirit S1 has its own star power, it was the preferred mode of transportation for James Bond in Spy Who Loved Me. So, the special edition Lotus Ever Sport 410 is also built to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Bond movie, which was released in 1977.

While its design DNA comes from the Espirit S1, the new supercar comes packed with latest performance enhancements. It is powered by a supercharged 3.5-liter 6-cylinder engine that produces 410hp at 7000 rpm and 420 Nm of torque at 3500 rpm. The highly advanced aerodynamics deliver up to 64 kg of downforce and it’s designed to deliver both on road and track. The car sprints from 0-60 mph in just 3.9 seconds and it weighs only 1,280 kgs.

Jean-Marc Gales, CEO, Group Lotus plc said, “So many of us recall the impact of the Lotus Esprit when it hit the big screen in The Spy Who Loved Me, and we wanted to honour that with a special Evora Sport 410. It’s the perfect tribute to such an influential Lotus, but a world away in terms of its abilities and performance. Supremely fast and agile, rivals’ cars look overweight and underpowered in comparison. Lotus was founded on the principle of lightweight engineering and, even today, nobody does it better.”

The Ever Sport 410 comes with quite a few unique design touches. The car’s front end feature a special color-coded bumper, while the one-piece carbon-fibre tailgate is part-keyed white to give the illusion of a traditional lift back. There is also a black coach line and a bespoke Evora badge at the back, next to the windows – using the same classic Esprit font.

Inside, the carbon fiber door panels and seats feature a Tartan trim, another borrowed element from the Espirit S1. Other subtle nice touches include the wood shift knob, and the red stitching on the dashboard, console, and seats to complement the black Alcantara.

The Lotus Ever Sport 410 is a special edition one-off. However, according to Lotus press release, annually they build one-hundred and fifty Lotus Evora Sport 410 for the global market. If you decide to buy one, you could use the Lotus Exclusive program to customize it to your liking – maybe go for a Star Wars theme or Game of Thrones? Endless opportunities and you have a bespoke division ready to oblige your wishes.
