Rolls-Royce Goes Rogue With Black Badge Models!

Rolls Royce Black Badge Adamas Collection

British luxury automaker Rolls-Royce has introduced the Black Badge models – the badass twins of the standard variants are created for those enthusiasts seeking a different level of thrill while driving the opulent cars. Rolls-Royce’s new range of special edition cars is called the Adamas Collection based on the Black Badge editions of the Rolls-Royce Dawn and Wraith. The name is inspired from a word meaning ‘untamable’, ‘invincible’ and ‘diamond.’

“The Adamas Collection as a celebration of the darker side of contemporary craftsmanship,” said Rolls-Royce, while talking about the new series. Torsten Müller-Ötvös, CEO of Rolls-Royce, added, “Adamas is a Collection that fuses the extraordinary competence of our Bespoke craftspeople from the Home of Rolls-Royce in Goodwood, West Sussex, with the rebellious spirit of Black Badge. The result is a motor car for those who seek more than the definitive of engineered luxury conveyance. This is a motor car for the risk-taker who is not afraid to embrace a bold and progressive statement of true and modern luxury, in its darkest form.”

The Adamas collection is a fleet of 40 Black Badge Wraiths and 30 Black Badge Dawns. The carbon fibre Spirit of Ecstasy is a work of 68 hours and show-stealing detail. The physique is constructed using 294 layers of aerospace grade carbon fibre residing on an exclusively made titanium base. It is then vapor blasted to adopt a darkened aesthetic, bearing the words ‘Black Badge Adamas’, and the infinity logo to complete its rogue look.

The Adamas Black Badge editions have an option of two exterior paint finishes with dual tone combinations. The Aphrodite Red is the red and black hues while the Morpheus Blue is the blue and red hues. According to the prestigious automotive brand, the two shades are chosen to create a luminous effect, emphasized in part by a deep color transition that extends throughout the body of the car.

The interior of the Adamas Black Badge includes the dash-mounted clock, another jaw-dropping feature. The timepiece is adorned with 88 laboratory-grown diamonds arranged in the Black Badge infinity symbol installed on a carbon-fiber back plate. Rolls-Royce’s famous starlight headliner now features 1,340 individual fiber-optic lights arranged to mimic the molecular structure of carbon in a diamond crystal. The two-tone steering wheel, woven black leather on the transmission tunnel as well as door bins, and special sill plates complete the overall mysterious aesthetic of the rogue collection. Rolls-Royce has truly given us the Batmobile of their models with this new collection!
