Kubya Lamp

The Maison Rêve de Louis, an up and coming French luxury brand, has unveiled their Kubya lamp – an ultra-luxurious yet super minimal piece of lighting. There will be just nine pieces made to order making this Kubya lamp a limited edition collectible item. It’s being dubbed as the most luxurious lamp ever because of high-end materials used by the Maison Rêve de Louis designer.

This rare Kubya lamp has been constructed from varnished carbon – the same type that is typically used in the making of a Formula 1 race car, racing yachts or in the topmost prestigious car brands. There were four distinct molds that were custom made to create the carbon parts of the lamp’s body and foot. These elements were manufactured in France by skilled carbon specialists renowned for their work on global race-winning yachts.

The Kubya lamp’s body is decorated with pure 18-carat gold strips that run lengthwise from top to bottom of the item. To add to the opulence, 24 pure 18-carat gold tiny screws are used for attaching a gold panel to the carbon body. An artisan jeweler from France has produced each of the gold screws by hand to assure the highest quality finish for the Kubya lamp. Since its a Maison Rêve de Louis piece, a touch of French grandeur was incorporated in the form of three golf baguettes that adorn the lamp, each fitted with a diamond. That brings the precious gems count to a total of 18 stones and 1.74 carats of diamonds.

For the final touch of Midas, there is a pure 18-carat gold brand signature embellished with a diamond measuring 5 millimeters in diameter adding another half carat to this treasure chest of a lamp. This diamond is also incrusted directly in the gold and carbon. The carbon behind the diamond is pierced so that when lit, the diamond shines from the inside out. The Kubya lamp is motion activated and radiates a warm glow of light with a not-so-light pricetag of $199,000. The exclusive Kubya lamp is being showcased at Place Vendôme in Paris where you can also place an order for it – just as long as you are in the top nine people in the world!
