Rolls-Royce Picnic Hamper – The Rolls-Royce Of Picnic Hampers

Rolls-Royce Picnic Hamper 1

Rolls-Royce Picnic Hamper is the Rolls-Royce of all picnic hampers. They are presented as a companion for the limited edition Phantom Zenith Collection. Picnic hampers are also the third and final piece of the Zenith collection. The other two items are – the Zenith and the unique metal ingot (a single metal piece from the Phantom assembly line in Goodwood, England).

A limited edition with just 50, each Phantom Zenith will come with a matching picnic hamper. Designed by Rolls-Royce Bespoke Design Team, the American Walnut hamper has a cover made of natural grain leather.

The contrasting color combinations of hampers match the interiors of the corresponding car. The first combination is the Ardent Red leather and black leather piping inspired by a 1929 Phantom II. The second has a more modern combination of Navy Blue and Arctic White leather piping of original 1925 Rolls-Royce Phantom II. The third and final combination is a timeless black Anthracite leather with Seashell piping, reminiscent of the 1911 Rolls-Royce Silver Ghost.

Rolls-Royce has billed this as a “true collectors’ piece, which in every sense of the word a true statement. Crafted by the best in business it features leather stitching and lid color matching the interior of the Phantom Drophead Coupé and Phantom Coupé’s split tailgate champagne bar.

There are two folding Piano Black picnic tables housed inside the hamper featuring aluminium hinges. Table hinges have engravings with places of the global debut of the trial versions of each car – Villa D’Este on the shores of Lake Como for 100EX. The forerunner of the Phantom Drophead Coupé and Lake Geneva for the 101EX, the car that would eventually become the Phantom Coupé.

Pre-packed inside leather and wood shelves are picnic essentials. Items include lead crystal wine glasses, handmade stainless steel cutlery, napkins embroidered with the Rolls-Royce monogram in Arctic White, and a handcrafted American Walnut chopping board. Luxury doesn’t stop there – a set of custom made crockery painted in black with platinum detail around its edges also a part of the hamper.

Rolls-Royce Picnic Hamper had its official unveiling and display during the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance in California last week. It is just not clear if they sell it separately or it comes with the car. We will know soon, of course.
