Even for Tiffany & Co. Christmas would be boring without special treats for its wonderful patrons. Every year they plan many wonderful things in their countdown to Christmas. This year one of the specials included sending white horse drawn carriages around London’s posh shopping districts from their base at Bond Street to Harrods at Knightsbridge to Sloane Square, and also around the Buckingham Palace and other landmarks. The New York company’s familiar baby blue was seen everywhere on the Tiffany Christmas carriage from its body to wheels, horses’ reins and driver’s outfits. Holly Golightly would have loved a ride on one of these on her way to breakfast in… London.
The carriages were filled to the brim with Christmas Gifts (empty boxes!) in beautiful Tiffany blue boxes. A comfortable ride was on offer inside the carriage with faux soft fur throws and plush Tiffany blue pillows. The coaches were such an unexpected spectacle holiday shoppers, tourists and onlookers alike joined in the fun by taking pictures and waving at the carriage.
Tiffany Carriages were a 3-day affair that had its fun run from 6th to 8th December, last week. Let’s hope they’ll make it a permanent fixture of Christmas celebrations and hold it till last weekend before Christmas.
