Ridesharing service Uber maybe fighting cab drivers and local governments all over the world that however means nothing to forward thinking creative minds in Hollywood. To promote this summer’s much awaited blockbuster Age of Extinction, the fourth edition of Transformers movie franchise, its marketing gurus have teamed-up with Uber. Through Uber now you can hail the Autobots leader Optimus Prime in cities Phoenix, Arizona on 19 June from 1 pm to 7 pm and Los Angeles, California from 1 pm to 7 pm. They have already covered Dallas, Texas on Monday.
Uber wants you to keep in mind while trying to make a booking that they have only one Optimus, so chances of riding it is pretty slim. The truck available to ride is a semi wrapped in dark blue, chrome and flames in bright red. Those of you lucky enough to flag down the Autobot Optimus will get to experience a 15-minute ride.
The marketing campaign is backed Paramount Pictures and General Motors. Movie Transformers: Age of Extinction rolls into theaters on June 27th.
