The floor-standing globe is entirely handmade in the US. It cradles in a mahogany frame with a walnut finish and rolls smoothly on four casters. The full process of handcrafting of the globe requires 40 man hours. Unique details include a solid brass hand-engraved meridian, which has been calibrated every degree. The meridian features a touch-on illumination within by a 75-watt bulb, when the meridian is touched light turns on, off and adjust the brightness in three levels.
