Dubai has a thriving luxury real estate market that is getting closer and closer to the markets in New York and London with every new high-rise building that goes up. As with all real estate, higher, the price more extravagant they get and Dubai is no exception. If you are looking for an ultra-luxury pad in Dubai, there is one that is going to be available in 2017. Listed with an asking price of $54 million, the penthouse, One at Palm Jumeirah, is the most expensive apartment up for sale in UAE.
For $54 million you get 43,000 square feet of living space. Out of that 27,000 square feet belong to interiors, while the balcony and infinity pool area is measured 16,000 square feet. The seven bedroom and eight bathroom penthouse also come with an art gallery, personal gym, outdoor spaces, private office, 12 parking spaces, private access and maid quarters. The apartment boasts exquisite views of the sea and Dubai Marina skyline.
The Palm Jumeirah is a 25-storey complex with 90 luxury apartments with almost 40 percent of the units are already sold. Common amenities include indoor and outdoor pools, a gym and spa, a cinema, cigar lounge, hair salon and a yacht club.
Even if you a minor-billionaire with an interest to buy this penthouse, you will have to wait. Because they are selling it on a by-invitation basis only. Designed by the consortium of NY-based architect Michel Abboud, Super Potato of Japan and Lebanon’s landscape architect Vladimir Djurovic, it is built jointly by Omniyat and Drake & Scull International.
If the One at Palm Jumeirah finds a buyer willing to part with his/her $54 million, it will claim the record for the most expensive apartment in UAE. That record is now being held by the unit in Burj Khalifa – sold last year for a mere $16 million.
