If I ever become a millionaire, I would love to live at a place like this. The multi-million dollar luxury home St Leon 10 Residence is located near the Lion’s Head Nature Reserve in Cape Town’s exclusive suburb of Bantry Bay. The rear of the home offers amazing views of the 12 Apostle Mountains, Clifton Beaches and Robben Island. From a distance it doesn’t give the impression of a luxury residence, for security and privacy its appearance is well disguised by its carefully designed surroundings.
Completed in 2008, the home is designed by South African architects SAOTA, Stefan Antoni Olmesdahl Truen Architects, and Antoni Associates. Half of the building structure is cut into a rock-faced slope, this makes the place look like it is floating over ground level, this in turn offers stunning views of the Cape Town from the cantilevered terraces of the home.
The stunning infinity pool with an integrated spa is one of the main features of the home. The bar and lounge located on the lowest level with sliding walls open up to the pool. Also on the lower level are a gym and a second guest room.
The home is designed in a linear manner to offer all major rooms sea views. The rear of the house provides privacy and security with no openings other than the glazed double volume entrance space that is shielded by a steel framed timber screen that includes access off the street through heavy timber gates.
