British Airways Unveils New First Class Amenity Kits By Liberty London

British Airways First Amenity Kits

Tis’ the season to reveal new First Class amenity kits. Last week it was Etihad and this week it is British Airways. Collaborator for British Airways in this venture is Liberty London, a department store with a reputation for their fabric and textile selections. They have designed and produced a couple of stylish cases for ladies and gents. British Airways is the only airline to call amenity kits “washbags”, regardless of the label they will continue to carry toiletries from Aromatherapy Associates.

The ladies kit is all bright and colorful feature an oriental-influenced floral print. They don’t expect much changes to the washbag contents and the new version will include all the bare necessities like facial cleanser, lip balm, hand lotion, deodorant, and a moisturizer. Additional items like a dental kit, hairbrush, socks, and eyeshades will also be part of the kit.

Gents version is not bright and flowery, it’s the complete opposite and they would not mind that for a bit. Theirs is a stylish bag with “black embossed textured exterior,” with a painted lining and a paisley motif. This will also come with usual supplies such as lip balm, deodorant, moisturizer, shaving kit, dental kit, socks, and eyeshades.

First recipients of the refreshed kit will be those taking the Los Angeles – London route with a launch date set for January 7, 2017. Rest of the routes will receive them gradually after the launch. Print designs will not stay the same, as announced by British Airways they plan to change the print design throughout the year. That means, there is a chance of gents getting a kit with some color and prints.

Last week I read a story about Etihad first class amenity kits popping up on eBay and fetching over $100. Most valuable washbag at the moment is the discontinued American Airlines Eames kit that goes for about $400 on eBay. Wonder how much this new BA washbag would fetch?
