Marriott International Opens North America’s Tallest Hotel In NYC

With the opening of combined 378-room Courtyard hotel and 261-suite Residence Inn hotel in Midtown Manhattan by Marriott International, Inc., NYC skyline is once again altered. These two hotels now claims the title of tallest single-use hotel in North America. Located at 1717 Broadway, the $320 million 68-story hotel is built on prime land with just a walking distance from Central Park and Times Square. NYC’s entertainment and shopping districts of The Broadway Theater District, Carnegie Hall, Fifth Avenue, Rockefeller Center and Radio City Music Hall are stone throw away from the hotel.

Hotel offers facilities such as valet parking, 6,000 sq ft. meeting space, a fitness center located on the 35th floor with floor-to-ceiling windows and outdoor sundeck for stretching, relaxing, and seasonal sunning. Some rooms feature floor-to-ceiling windows offering spectacular views of Central Park, Times Square and the Hudson River.

Guests also get to enjoy free Wi-Fi throughout the hotel and free international calls. Rooms equipped with fiber optical cable network deliver 1.25 GB of bandwidth that allows for fast, extensive use on multiple devices at one time. In-room Smart TVs offer 60 HD channels.

Artwork inspired by NYC, love and life decorates five floors of the hotel. They includes sculptures and full wall murals created by renowned abstract expressionist artist, William DeBilzan.
