Baume & Mercier Capeland Worldtimer, as the name implies created with the global traveler in mind. Timeless and elegant watch features 24 times zones represented by a city from each time zone.
The Worldtimer is available in two versions, stainless steel and more pricey 18 karat pink gold case. Its off-white inner dial displays names of times zones, Arabic numerals and the date at 3 o’clock, while the 24-hour ring is placed closer to the bezel lip. Breguet-style hands on stainless-steel version come in blued-steel and in gold on 18 karat version.
The Worldtimer function is achieved by selecting the desired city and rotating the 24-hour ring to that particular city, then with the crown simply adjusting the hands. Once this is done, all other cities automatically synchronize to its correct time zone position.
Its Swiss-made automatic movement features premium fittings. Visible through its sapphire case back is movements finish with circular-grained mainplate and bridges, Côtes de Genève on oscillating weight, blued screwed, snailed decor and PHI symbol. Watch is water resistant up to 165 ft. The movement has a power reserve of 42 hours and a vibration rate of 4 Hz per hour.
The pebble shaped Baume & Mercier Capeland Worldtimer comes with a dark brown alligator strap on the 18 karat pink gold version and a blue alligator strap on the stainless steel version with a pin buckle.
