Blancpain is known as one of the first high-end watch manufacturers to create beautiful feminine watches that are also remarkable complications, a trend they started back in the early 1930’s. They also pioneered in creating the first self-winding wristwatch for women. Their latest addition to the Women Collection, the Women Off-Centered Hour is yet another feather in their cap that shows commitment to creating elegant as well as complicated timepieces for women.
Beautiful double-stepped 36.8 mm red gold case in true Blancpain style is adorned with 108 diamonds totaling one karat. Diamonds in various sizes are set in two interwoven rows of the bezel, while the crown is also decorated with a diamond to add a touch of extra elegance. The white mother-of-pearl dial is divided into two halves by a string of dazzling diamonds, it gets an even more feminine look by the diamonds peppered on it. One half of the dial features at 12 o’clock the off-centered hour and minute subdial with 4 large Arabic numerals and tear drop-shaped cut out hands, while the other half showcases the retrograde 30-seconds subdial and Blancpain signature.
Blancpain’s new Calibre 2663SR mechanical self-winding movement act as the heart of the watch by providing 28,800 vph. Visually pleasing aspects of the movement includes Côtes de Genève finish and an oscillating weight shaped like a five-petal flower. The Blancpain Women Off-Centered Hour is fitted with a stylish white ostrich leather strap.
There are two additional variations of the watch available as well, a white gold model with a blue mother-of-pearl dial and a white ostrich leather strap, and a steel version with a white dial fitted with an alligator leather strap.
