Expanding their Chronomat collection, Breitling has unveiled a special edition named the Chronomat 44 Raven. As with other models of the Chronomat collection, 44 Raven is designed with “instrument for professionals” philosophy on mind. The 44 mm case of the Raven made from satin-brushed steel is covered in a black carbon-based coating of high-resistance, and its orange accents enhances the ultra-sporty look.
The dark black dial of the Chronomat 44 Raven feature three seconds sub-dials at 3, 6 and 9 o’clock. A large date aperture is located between 4 and 5 o’clock. The unidirectional rotating bezel displays 60-minute mark and features highly-legible large orange numerals. The tachymeter located in the inner bezel, its hand as well as the hands of sub-dials are clad in orange.
Powered by the COSC-certified Manufacture Breitling Caliber 01 self-winding movement, it has a power reserve of over 70 hours, 28,800 vph, a chronograph and a water resistance up to 660 feet. Movement visible from the crystal sapphire caseback also has orange marking on the black oscillating weight.
Giving the Chronomat 44 Raven its finish touch is its matching black rubber strap – offered in Driver Pro III and Ocean Racer. Available at selected Breitling boutiques and online with a $9,825 price tag.
