Corum Debuts Golden Bridge With Black Ceramic Case

The Golden Bridge Black Ceramic Case – a one of a kind and one of the most recognizable watches in the world, Corum’s Golden Bridge watch is given a new look in a black ceramic case. The black ceramic case is a technical marvel with a labor intensive process. To encase crystals in the ceramic case, crystals were injected into a pressurized mold. Then ceramic material uniformly spread by hand in a furnace at 320 degrees to harden, this process causes the ceramic to shrink in volume to reach the appropriate size to encase the crystal.

Red gold main plate is decorated with delicate hand-engraved Corum signature, surrounded by motif showing three types of fern grown in the forests of La Chaux-de-Fonds. Ferns are paying homage to the La Chaux-de-Fonds region, where Golden Bridge had its start.

Ceramic case is 34mm in size. Has a power reserve of 40-hours. Manual movements is 4Hz. Powering the watch is Corum’s CO 113 caliber manually-wound movement with a 40-hour power reserve. The Golden Bridge is fitted with a beautiful alligator strap. Price $24,400.
