Chanel’s latest addition to their Mademoiselle Privé collection, the Mademoiselle Privé Décor Camélia Nacré is a striking jewelry watch with mother-of-pearl marquetry decoration on the dial. Main difference between this version and previously released Mademoiselle Privé mother-of-pearl Camellia is the diamond studded dial on this watch. One of Gabrielle Chanel’s favorite flowers, Camellias regularly appear on Chanel collections.
Unveiled at this year’s Baselworld, the Camellia motif made with mother-of-pearl marquetry required meticulous crafting from their artisans. The dial is then set with 330 brilliant cut white gold diamonds (1.02 karats). The 37.5 mm bezel of the 18 karat white gold case comes decorated with another 60 brilliant cut white diamonds. Diamonds are everywhere, white gold pin buckle on the black satin strap also gets it share of brilliant cut whites – 80 in total.
Powered by a mechanical self-winding movement, the Mademoiselle Privé Décor Camélia Nacré comes with hour and minute functions and 42 hours of power reserve. Pricing is yet to be announced, but expect to be in the range of €33,000-€37,000 ($35,000-$40,000).
