An “Unidentified Wristwatch,” that’s not what this alien spaceship looking timepiece is officially called. Its two creators Messrs. David Zanetta and Denis Flageollet at De Bethune named it Dream Watch 5.
Designed to look like a spaceship, the 49 mm delta-shaped case is made from Grade 5 titanium. It measures 39 mm long and 11 thick. There is nothing simple about this watch when it’s time to read the time, the small blued aperture at 3 o’clock displays time from the rotating discs, the same window also shows the moonphase, ironic you don’t even have to look up the night sky. A cabochon-cut ruby adorns the titanium crown that in a way gives the impression of a spaceship’s rocket-powered engine. Case back also in Grade 5 titanium displays signatures of David Zanetta and Denis Flageollet.
The watch is powered by a hand-wound DB2144 caliber movement and has a power reserve of 120 hours as well as 28,800 vph in frequency.
The Dream Watch 5 comes fitted with an extra-supple alligator leather with a pin buckle. Price is astronomically high in the area of stratosphere at Swiss Francs 150,000 or around $165,000.
