Vacheron Constantin has added a new limited edition Patrimony to its collection introduced in 2011, The Patrimony Traditionnelle 14-Day Tourbillon Platine. In January at SIHH, Vacheron Constantin introduced a 38 mm Patrimony Traditionnelle with a silver dial in platinum.  The Patrimony Traditionnelle 14-Day Tourbillon Platine is the bigger version of that.

Platinum limited edition collections started in 2006 with the Collection Excellence Platine. Vacheron Constantin with platinum cases comes with authentication in the form of sandblasted platinum dials discreetly marked “PT950” between 4 and 5 o’clock.

The Patrimony Traditionnelle 14-Day Tourbillon Platine comes with the Caliber 2260 movement, and four barrel power system that gives the 14-day power reserve. The Traditionnelle 14-Day Tourbillon is 42mm in diameter with a silver dial. The tourbillon cage is in the same shape as Maltese cross. It also features small seconds at 6 o’clock and a power-reserve display. Some have complained about the hands being too close to the top and not centered. But, even they agree Traditionnelle 14-Day Tourbillon is beautiful timepiece. It consists of 231 parts and 31 jewels. Back is covered with see through sapphire. Blue alligator strap stitched with platinum thread and a folding buckle complete the ensemble.

Only 50 The Patrimony Traditionnelle 14-Day Tourbillon Platine will be made and each individually numbered. Unconfirmed price tag is $323,500.
