A model can design a cake and eat it too. Well, we have no confirmation if former French model Ines de la Fressange ate her cake, but, she sure did help design it. Parisian café “Café de la Paix” and Fressange are collaborating to create dessert delights that are not only delectable, but fashionable too. Their first offering is an almond cake, topped with dollops of coconut panna cotta and raspberries. What makes this petite delight fashionable is the cute little chocolate handbag filled with tangy raspberry sauce. Pastry chef Dominique Costa drew his inspiration from Fressange’s initial pencil drawn pastry art of raspberry hearts surrounded by a creamy mousse. And the result of the collaboration, as they say is dessert history.
The Café de la Paix, situated in the beautiful InterContinental Le Grand – Paris, has a brief history of offering fashionable desserts. Previously they offered $24 desserts to celebrate the fashion week. Current edition of fashionable desserts available from September thru the end of the year.
