It is that time of the year where we talk and dream about all things luxury gifts – whether you and I can afford them is a story for another day. Our favorite luxury department store is now taking pre-orders for our favorite Christmas hamper – Harrods’ ever so luxury “The Decadence” – once again priced at £20,000 (approx. $31,000). This extraordinary feast once again consists of best wines and spirits, a collection of fresh food, a host of pantry goods, finest teas and coffees, lots of confectionaries and decorations.
In all, the Decadence contains of a collection of 24 wines, champagnes, vintage ports and cognacs with magnum Louis Roederer Cristal Champagne taking the center stage. In the fresh food section everything ranging from caviar to ham to cheeses and foie gras are there for you to feast. Here are few of the luxuries – Beluga caviar, Iberian Lomo meat, famous Ibérico Ham, Buffalo Milk Truffle Camembert and a bottle of edible gold leaf infused Martine Guerrand Hermès Histoire d’O Extra Virgin olive oil.
Hamper comes packed with a good mix of high-end teas and coffees too. Harrods Bari Black is a loose leaf Darjeeling tea flavored with orange peel, cinnamon and ginger. From Panama you get Araúz Estate Omni-Grind coffee – perfect to use with cafetieres or filters. Their wonderful collection of pantry goods include jams, cakes, syrups, biscuits to puddings, crackers and everything in between. Among the highlight of this group is the two tier Decorative Christmas Cake that weighs a hefty 6.5kg (14.33 lbs.)

Priced to interest everyone at £195 ($300), the French macaron makers hamper feature a bottle of Ladurée’s brut rosé champagne, Ladurée Blend Tea from Sri Lanka and China blended with citrus, flowers and vanilla, and pantry goods.
