Karl Lagerfeld, head designer and creative director of two LVMH owned labels – Chanel and Fendi as well as for his own Karl Lagerfeld label, already had a very busy year. He also did some creative work for Louis Vuitton that included being the photographer for the Iconoclast series. For this holiday season Karl has turned his attention to cake design.

At the request of Michelin-starred chef Alain Ducasse, he designed the Bûche Beige by Karl Lagerfeld to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Beige Alain Ducasse Tokyo. In English a Christmas yule log cake.

The yule log Lagerfeld designed pays homage to his first love – the House of Chanel. Shaped like a Chanel lipstick, the cake also features the iconic interlocked Cs logo. Caramel and dark chocolate flavored lipstick cake in beige, gold and dark brown also has a string of pearls to adorn it (no news about its edible eligibility.)
