If you plan to be in and around London’s fancy Mayfair District between 22 August and 30 September 2016 in time for fashion season, there is an opportunity to try fragrant full of cocktails at The Hotel Café Royal. The trio of hotel’s Green Bar, bar’s manager Derren King and Parfums Givenchy are teaming up again to offer brews inspired by fashion house’s latest Iris Harmonique fragrance collection. Priced £15 per cocktail, this limited edition cocktail collection named appropriately as L’Atelier de Givenchy botanical cocktails includes 10 new mixtures.
Cocktails follows the same fragrance ingredients that include florals and fruits, and spices. They have even followed colors of fragrances. In addition to drinking the fragrance-inspired cocktails, patrons also get to sample notes of Givenchy scents. The Iris Harmonique collection will have its own place behind bar. Cocktails are designed everyone including for those who prefer a non-alcoholic tipple.
So what do you get to try? There is the Chypre Caresse, which is a mix of fresh grapefruit juice, agave syrup, Peychauds Bitter with Slingsby London Dry – this concoction comes topped with Prosecco and Maraschino. Another is the Oud Flamboyant – fitting a flamboyant fragrance, the namesake drink showcases ingredients with light smoke and honeycomb flavors – woody hints of Nikka Coffey Grain whisky, coconut noir iced tea, Manuka honey and flash flamed cinnamon. Named after the collection, the Iris Harmonique cocktail is a blend of Ketel One Vodka, kumquat liqueur and lemon zest.
