Salvatore Ferragamo Afternoon Tea

Culinary maestro Chef Pino Lavarra of Tosca was inspired by Salvatore Ferragamo’s “Flower Heel” collection to curate this exotic afternoon of tea-time delights. The master chef has created fives savory bites and six desserts are plated on an alluring stand that replicates the galvanized metallic finish of the latest Salvatore Ferragamo accessory line.

Each delicacy has been cooked to such perfection that you don’t have to wonder what Salvatore Ferragamo shoes and bags tasted like anymore. The Vara Rainbow bag has been reincarnated as the Zeppa Multicolour in the exact shades of pink, light pink, fuschia and white made with layers of fresh raspberries, strawberry pannacotta, ginger cream, raspberry jelly, and blueberry pannacotta making you wonder whats better – the bag or the dessert. The Michelin star restaurant also recreated the patented flower heel shoes with Taccofiore – a passion fruit cookie sandwiching rich hazelnut flan cream with hints of tangy of passion fruit cream to douse all your sweet and sour cravings in one bite…or three.

Chef Pino continues whipping his magic at Tosca’s high-tea with the Signorina Misteriosa which is baked in the spitting image of the Salvatore Ferragamo’s signature perfume with layers of jasmine cake, blackberry jelly, and vanilla cream coated in smooth dark chocolate and accessorized with a classy chocolate Vara bow. The Vara Rainbow is another drool-worthy treat made with a moist banana cake, topped with dollops of white chocolate cream, candied lemon and artfully sprinkled pink sugar to form Salvatore Ferragamo’s pre-spring 2018 collection Vara rainbow bag.

Both Salvatore Ferragamo and Tosca at the Ritz-Carlton, Hong Kong, have described their collaboration as a blend of style, creativity and fine artistry of Italy.
